When SSO is enabled, Acuity can only be accessed through SSO user accounts managed via FOCUS. Once signed into FOCUS, you are automatically signed into Acuity with access to your associated facilities. Conversely, when SSO is disabled, Acuity can only be accessed using local user accounts, requiring separate logins for FOCUS and Acuity. By default, SSO is disabled.

Steps to Enable Single Sign-On

Step 1: Invite Users to FOCUS and Edit Permissions

Within Your Organization:

• If the user is in your organization, click on the add user icon in the upper left corner of FOCUS.

Outside Your Organization:

• If the user is in a different organization, share the facility with them in Focus.

Once added, assign/edit roles as needed:

• For Multiple Users:

  • Navigate to the Settings tab > Security Roles section > Click the green '+' button to add roles.

  

  • Input Security Role Name, Description, Users, Assigned Permissions, and Facilities. Click Save.

• For a Small Number of Users:

  • Navigate to the Users tab. Use the 'i' button next to a user to edit user Security Role.
