Introduction

The Performance Matrix API in Focus allows external systems to connect, query, and analyze data. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for enabling and managing the API.

Prerequisites

1. Access to Focus with appropriate login credentials.
2. Permissions to create and manage Performance Matrices.

Steps to Enable the Performance Matrix API

1. Log In to Focus: Open Focus and log in using your credentials.

2. Navigate to the Monitor Page: On the main dashboard, go to the Monitor page.

3. Switch to Performance Matrix View:

• Check the view setting on the Monitor Page.
• If in Performance Badges View, switch to Performance Matrix View by clicking the middle icon.

Note: The default Performance Matrix view does not support API enablement for security reasons.

4. Create a Custom Performance Matrix

• Click the plus button to create a new Performance Matrix.

• Provide a name for the new Performance Matrix in the designated field. Use the drag-and-drop interface to move columns from the Available Columns section to the Selected Columns section.

• Once the desired columns are selected, click the Save button to finalize the custom Performance Matrix.

• Switch from the default matrix to the newly created custom matrix.

5. Enable the API

• Click the Manage API button in the custom matrix view. Select the Enable Performance Matrix API option
