Use the Network Configuration page to configure the IP addresses of the Acuity CPU ethernet ports.

To change an IP address, click the edit icons and complete the form.
Parameter | Definition |
---|---|
Interface Name | The label associated with the physical ethernet port |
Mode | Static (Fixed) will use the defined ‘IP Address’, Dynamic (Auto) will expect an assigned IP from a DHCP server. |
Primary Gateway | One port or bridge may be defined as the gateway; the interface used to reach the internet |
IP Address | When in Static (Fixed) mode, the IP address assigned to the port |
Gateway IP | If a Primary Gateway, the address of the router |
Subnet Mask | The mask of accessible subnets on the network |
DNS 1 | The primary Domain Name Server used to resolve URL host names |
DNS 2 | Fallback Domain Name Server |
<aside> 💡 After clicking ‘Save’, the settings will not be applied until clicking “Commit Settings” button, which will apply settings to all ports simultaneously.

<aside> 💡 After committing, it is normal to briefly lose access as settings are applied and network interfaces refresh.

Configure a bridge to assign the same network settings to multiple ports.
Static Routes and other advanced network configurations are available upon request.
If network settings have been changed outside of the Network Configuration interface (via command line, operating system, etc.), the “Reload Settings from System” button can be used to re-align the settings saved in Acuity.
